Railway becomes Hitech, This machine will not only perform ticket checking automatically. But will also check the body temperature of the passengers as well as prevent passengers from entering the station wearing face masks.
Indian Railways is accelerating the use of technology day by day. The technology is being used by the railways to increase passenger amenities through online ticket booking. A sample of this was seen at Nagpur station, where the Railways has installed the first automated ticket checking machine in the country. Railway Minister Goyal Piyush Goyal has given information about this.
The ATMA machine is installed at the Nagpur station under the New and Innovative Idea and Concept for Generation of Non-Fair Revenue Idea Scheme (NINFRIS) to identify patients infected with Covid-19. According to railway officials, the machine will not only perform ticket checking automatically but will also check the passengers’ body temperature. As well as prevent passengers from entering the station wearing face masks.

One advantage of this would be that the huge staff involved in ticket checking can be reduced. And that staff can be put under the medical supervision of the passengers.
